This labyrinth was created in collaboration with Abbot Berthold Heigl and the landscape gardener Andrea Stejskal in the monastery garden of Seitenstetten, Lower Austria.

My design relates to the “Pilgrim’s Path”. The path is laid out with small river stones set in cement to form a 7-circuit Classical labyrinth. A stylized Flower of Life, made of marble plates, symbolizes the centre.
When one walks the path barefooted and so directly touches earth and stones, well-being arises. Moreover, there is the side effect of a foot massage (reflexology).
The landscape gardener chose the plants and built a symbolic rosary into the outer circuit of the labyrinth – therefore also the name “Rosary Labyrinth”.
Motto: healing for body, spirit, and soul.
